Sudden Hearing Loss: A free virtual health and wellness event

Thursday, May 19, 2022 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (HST)

Description

One in eight people in the United States aged 12 years or older has hearing loss. The condition is even more problematic if unforeseen or abrupt changes in hearing were to occur, which can significantly impact a person’s quality of life. Join Ken Pugh PhD, CCC-A at The Queen’s Medical Center – West O‘ahu for this free virtual event to learn more about sudden hearing loss.

Topics to be discussed:

  • What are common signs and symptoms of sudden hearing loss?
  • Is there a relation between sudden hearing loss and COVID-19?
  • What steps to take if you experience sudden hearing loss?

Ken Pugh PhD, CCC-A - Audiologist

Dr. Kenneth “Ken” C. Pugh is an audiologist at The Queen’s Medical Center – West O‘ahu. He has experience working with diverse and medically fragile populations ranging from newborns to the elderly. Through diagnostic evaluations, Dr. Pugh helps patients identify hearing status and management options for hearing loss.
