HONOLULU — The City and County of Honolulu will host a one-day, pop-up Community Assistance Center (CAC) in Waiʻanae next Saturday (April 25) to support residents impacted by recent severe weather.
The announcement follows a highly successful CAC event in Lā‘ie on Wednesday, held at BYU–Hawaiʻi, where more than 110 households received direct assistance and services. The strong turnout and positive feedback from both residents and partner agencies underscored the importance of bringing resources directly into affected communities.
“We have seen firsthand how impactful these Community Assistance Centers can be,” said Mayor Rick Blangiardi. “Our goal is to meet people where they are and make it as easy as possible for residents to access the help they need as they continue to recover.”
The upcoming Waiʻanae CAC will be held in partnership with Elepāio Social Services and will offer a range of services and support from City, State, and nonprofit partners.
Event Details:
• Location: Waiʻanae Mall
• Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026
• Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to access available resources, ask questions, and connect directly with service providers. The City remains committed to supporting Oʻahu communities as recovery efforts continue.
