Step into a Career in the Growing Solar Industry!
The Solar Program gives students in-class and hands-on learning to gain the skills necessary for entry level solar installation positions. The program introduces students to the foundational knowledge of Photovoltaics needed to prepare for employment in the solar trade and further opportunities for a career in the solar industry. Students will also receive OSHA-10 construction certification. The course is taught by experienced industry professionals.
Oʻahu Classes – Starting in April and June 2022
The State of Hawaii has a goal to generate 100% clean energy by 2045, which means more of our energy supply will need to come from alternatives like solar. CNHA’s Solar Program gives students in-class and hands-on learning to gain the skills necessary for entry level solar installation positions. The program introduces students to the foundational knowledge of Photovoltaics needed to prepare for employment in the solar trade and further opportunities for a career in the solar industry. Coursework will cover NCCER curriculum and meets NABCEP Entry Level eligibility requirements. Students also receive OSHA-10 construction certification, financial education, cultural enrichment, and job assistance.
CNHA is excited to partner with Mākaha Learning Center to deliver two classes in 2022!
- Cohort 1: April 18, 2022 to July 6, 2022 in Kapolei
- Cohort 2: June 20, 2022 to September 7, 2022 in Nānākuli
Each class runs approx. 12 weeks long including orientation, classroom instruction, OSHA-10 training, field lab, and graduation.
18 years and older may apply.
Training is FREE due to grants from our sponsors and partnership with Mākaha Learning Center. However, a $100 REFUNDABLE PARTICIPATION DEPOSIT will be due on the first day of class, then returned to students who successfully complete the program.
