First-Ever Moani’s West Fest 2022 to Ka Makana Ali‘i

West O‘ahu’s official music festival debuts at the Center on Saturday, Oct. 1, with live local entertainment by Ekolu, Fia, Johnny Suite, BET, Pohaku and more.

KAPOLEI, HI (September 13, 2022) — Ka Makana Ali‘i is pleased to host Moani’s West Fest 2022 on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 4 to 10 p.m. West O‘ahu’s official music festival, presented by Moani Island Bistro & Bar, will feature food, music and fun for the whole family with entertainment by some of Hawai'i’s biggest names in music including Ekolu, Fia, Johnny Suite, BET, Pohaku and more! Doors open at 4 p.m. with music starting at 4:30 p.m.

West Fest 2022 will take place in the parking lot of Ka Makana Ali‘i near ‘Ōlino Theatres, Taqueria el Ranchero and CPK. The festival will set up a large stage for entertainment and feature beverages by Moani available for purchase, along with local food vendors.

“West Fest 2022 is our way of bringing the Moani experience to the big stage for all of West O‘ahu to enjoy,” said Micah Keolanui, owner of Moani Island Bistro & Bar. “We hope to make this an annual event that West O‘ahu can look forward to celebrating.”

West Fest 2022 tickets can be purchased online at www.westfesthawaii.com. The festival will also host after parties starting at 9:30 p.m. at Taqueria el Ranchero, Kickin’ Kajun and Moani Island Bistro & Bar.

In June 2019, Moani Island Bistro & Bar opened at Ka Makana Ali‘i and was a dream for brothers Micah G and Caleb Keolanui. Inspired by their backyard family parties, Moani is known for its local comfort food, live music and inviting family feel. Growing up in a large, close-knit and musically driven family, the brothers got their start in the local music industry in 2002 and continue to stay connected to the local music scene. They’ve since opened a second restaurant in Waikiki and are now bringing the Moani experience to a bigger stage so all of West O‘ahu can experience well-known live local performers without having to drive to town.
