Description
iCAN 2.0 curriculum
The iCAN 2.0 curriculum, adapted from WCSA’s iCAN program, covers work readiness skills such as basic computer skills, typing skills, resume writing, job interviews and career planning. This nine-day program is held four days a week, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on weekdays.
The following sessions have been announced for 2024, to be held in-person at the Department of Community Services, WorkHawaiʻi Division office in the Dole Cannery Office Building, Suite 700:
Tuesday, 1/16/24 – Monday, 1/29/24
Tuesday, 3/5/24 – Monday, 3/18/24
Monday, 4/22/24 – Monday, 5/6/24
Monday 6/17/24 – Monday 7/1/24
“We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to unlock their full potential and chart a successful career path,” WorkHawaiʻi Administrator Leinaʻala Nakamura said. “With iCAN 2.0, we are committed to arming individuals with the tools they need to confidently step into the workforce, whether they are embarking on a new career or seeking to enhance their current one.”
Enrollment for all sessions is ongoing, and free to eligible participants. Capacity per session is limited and applicants will be served on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority of service to military veterans and their spouses.
