The Hawaiʻi State Legislature is set to convene on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, and the House Majority Caucus has outlined its top priorities for the upcoming session.

The Hawaiʻi Senate Majority today announced their legislative priorities in advance of the Hawaiʻi State Legislature's Opening Day on Wednesday, January 15.

Inauguration ceremonies for Mayor Rick Blangiardi’s second term were held Thursday, January 2, 2025. The Mayor will took his oath of office at Honolulu Hale at 9:00 a.m. This invitation-only ceremony took place for the Mayor and members of his City cabinet. The day’s highlight was formal program at Mission Memorial Auditorium.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) awarded the University of Hawai‘i–West O‘ahu $533,285 for its efforts to address targeted violence and threat prevention.
